Band 6 Occupational Therapist
Location: Heathy House, Halifax (with work across additional services in Leeds)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (30-minute break)
Active Pathways is looking for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team at Heathy House, a specialist rehabilitation service supporting individuals with complex mental health needs. This role also covers two additional services in Leeds, offering a varied and dynamic caseload.
About the Role:
As a Band 6 OT, you’ll play a key role in supporting recovery and promoting independence through high-quality interventions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering tailored one-to-one and group therapies to enhance daily living skills and social inclusion.
- Working closely with a multidisciplinary team to create personalised care plans.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to support service users’ recovery journeys.
- Leading the development of OT pathways and contributing to service improvements.
- Travelling across multiple sites to provide support where needed. Multi-site travel will be ad-hoc and based on the requirements of the service user, ensuring that care is delivered where it is most needed at the time.
About the Services:
- Heathy House is a 10-bed rehabilitation service that provides a step-down residential service.
- Park Place is a purpose-built supported living development.
- Millcroft is a purpose-built step-down residential rehabilitation service.
What We’re Looking For:
- A qualified OT with a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
- At least 3 years of post-graduate experience, with 2+ years in mental health settings.
- A proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a varied caseload.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and service users.
- Experience mentoring students or junior staff is desirable.
- A driving license and access to a car is required, as multi-site travel will be involved, paid at 45p per mile.
