Salary: £25,225.20
Hours: 38.5 hours per week | £12.60 per hour
Shifts: 11-hour shifts (8 am – 9 pm), 3-4 days per week, including every other weekend
Rotas: Confirmed 3 weeks in advance, subject to service needs

Active Pathways Ltd is currently recruiting compassionate Support Workers to join Brook House in Clayton-le-Woods, Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as an integral part of the team, ensuring that the individuals we support can live as independently as possible.

As a Support Worker, you will: 

  • Support individuals on their journey to recovery through person-centred care in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Help residents develop independent living skills and achieve personal goals.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to build positive relationships with residents.
  • Provide emotional and practical support to residents.
  • Promote engagement in meaningful activities and encourage social inclusion.
  • Assist with daily living tasks and support residents in accessing education, employment, and the community.
  • Promote independence and self-confidence, helping residents regain control over their lives.

Our Ideal Support Worker Will:

  • Have knowledge and understanding of Mental Health diagnoses, Learning Disabilities, and/or Autism.
  • Appreciate the importance of person-centred care and promoting independence.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience working in challenging environments, particularly with individuals facing issues such as suicide, self-harm, or mental health crises.

Desired Experience:

  • Supporting individuals in activities of daily living, including social, recreational, and occupational activities, and helping young people engage in the community.
  • Collaborating seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Promoting positive practices in Safeguarding, Health & Safety, and Mental Capacity within the service.
  • Experience working with individuals who have mental health needs or challenging behaviours, such as self-harm, eating disorders, epilepsy, schizophrenia, or personality disorders.
