Support Worker – Community Care – Lancaster.  We are currently recruiting Community Support Workers to join our team to deliver a range of individualised care packages based on care needs within the Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding area.

Active Pathways operate a well established, CQC registered, and highly respected independent home care service.  We recognise that our focus must always be on the people we support, their needs, wishes and aspirations. Our wide range of flexible one-to-one services are tailor made to the needs of the individual – and home visits can be from an hour a day up to 24 -7 care, including weekends and holidays.

The services we provide are flexible to the needs of each client and provide holistic care to support the full range of a person’s physical, mental and social needs. These can include personal care such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating and medication; home help covering all aspects of day-to-day housework, shopping, meal preparation and household duties; and companionship services that can involve everything from escorting clients on visits or appointments to simple conversation and good company.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate values for care which include compassion, empathy, respect, treating people with dignity, adaptability and integrity.

You will understand  the importance of effective communication skills both verbally and written in addition to effective listening skills and be able to demonstrate these through the interview process.


We offer a variety of shifts between 7.00am and 10.30pm over 7 days per week.  Successful candidates will receive full induction, training, shadowing, mentoring and supervision.  We are committed to your continual professional development and developing your career with Active Pathways.

Applicants must have:

  •   A minimum 1 years’ personal/work experience within and health or social care setting.
  • The role is community based so a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
  • A good knowledge of the Lancaster, Morecambe and Surrounding areas would be an advantage.
